SSD Low Performance
What should I do if the speed of my SSD seems to be slow
When the SSD is used over a long period of time, the status of the SSD can become "dirty," which may affect the performance of the SSD.
1) Please use the Magician Tool, provided by Samsung, and run Performance Optimization.
- Run the program regularly to prevent this.
1) Please ensure that your mainboard supports SATA Gen3.
- SATA Gen2 mainboards limit speed, which may cause the SSD to perform slower than normal.
2) Make sure that all of the performance-related settings shown below are set correctly.
- Write Cache needs to be enabled (What is write cache & how to set up?)
- AHCI must be enabled (How do I configure ahci settings?)
- Check and update driver version if necessary (See FAQ)
