Additional Troubleshooting Steps on Windows

Note: If the unit is NOT able to be recognized by your system/File Explorer after either Factory Reset or PSID Revert, you may have to initialize and format the unit. Please follow the below steps to do so.

1) Launch Disk Management. To get there hit the Windows Key and R key and type in diskmgmt.msc and hit enter.
2) Upon opening the Disk Management Window, you may receive a pop up advising you to initialize the disk.
    a. A message will appear prompting you to choose a file scheme. Please choose "GPT". After please select "OK".
    b. If you want to choose a different file scheme, please research which one will best suit your use case.
Note: By default our drives come formatted to exFAT. If you plan to use your drive with a Windows and Mac machine, then you will want to choose exFAT as the formatting File System as it will be able to be seen in both Operating Systems.
3) Please Full Screen the Disk Management Windows to see all drive information in this window
4) Once in the Disk Management screen you will see a black area labeled unallocated. Upon finding this Right-Click this partition and select New Simple Volume and it will open "wizardRepair"
    a. If "New Simple Volume" is not selectable the disk may be un-initialized. If the disk has a red arrow pointing down, you must right-click on the area in which the red arrow is located and choose to initialize (refer to step 2).
5) Within this wizard you can hit next until it displays the entire space on the drive formatted to NTFS partition for Windows use only. (Please be sure to assign the drive a letter)
    a. If you would like to customize the formatting, we advise that you read through the wizard for options you may want to place on your drive.
