Magician - RAPID mode

What is RAPID, and how do I use it?

What is RAPID Mode:
RAPID (Real Time Acceleration Processing of I/O data) Mode uses the DRAM caching technique provided by Samsung Magician to enhance the performance of the SSD.

RAPID mode is paired exclusively with Samsung SATA SSDs and available as a feature of the accompanying Samsung SSD Magician Software Toolset (version 4.2 and later).
When enabled, RAPID mode is inserted as a filter driver in the Windows storage stack. The driver actively monitors all storage-related activity between and among the operating system, user applications and the SSD. The RAPID technology analyzes system traffic and leverages spare system resources (DRAM and CPU) to deliver read acceleration through intelligent caching of hot data and write optimization through tight coordination with the SSD

If you have Samsung Magician installed you may view additional details the Samsung Magician Help Center, also listed below:

RAPID mode is an advanced storage management technology to improve the overall system performance, providing faster and more reliable user experience. RAPID mode dynamically optimizes the I/O of the Samsung SSD and eliminates system performance bottlenecks by analyzing application and data usage. User management is not required because RAPID mode is fully automated.

2) Select Performance optimization in the menu list.
3) Enable or disable RAPID mode using the toggle in "Custom Mode".

Operation check:
-Rapid mode starts its operation 45 seconds after OS booting. To verify that the increased size of non-paged pool is fully operational by using "task manager->performance->memory tab"
*The increased size of non-paged pool indicates that RAPID mode has started
*For 4GB RAM, in 45 seconds it will increase to about 700MB

Precautions:
*Click the RAPID mode button to enable or disable RAPID mode. When the setup is completed, you will be prompted to restart the system. When the system is restarted, the RAPID mode setting is completed.
*When removing Samsung Magician while RAPID mode is active, RAPID mode will be deactivated before uninstalling.
*NVMe drives are not supported.
